An oversized fabric bow in baby blue and cream gingham, 30 inches from the top of the loop to the ends of the ties, handwoven from 100% cotton.

The storage question is the one that separates a fabric bow from a ribbon one. Wire-edged ribbon crushes in a box and comes out the next year bent in the wrong places; cotton holds its shape without wire, so the loops stay full and the ties fall straight after eleven months flat in a bin. If a tie does crease, a low iron takes it out in seconds.

Pale blue is the quiet rebellion in a room full of red velvet. On a tree it looks like frost rather than tinsel.

Perfect for: Christmas trees, wreaths, mantels and staircases, winter doors, baby showers, and nursery decorating.
