Cloth napkins in a two-tone turquoise gingham, the darker check laid over the lighter so the pattern shifts depending on how the light hits it. A set of four, designed in Los Angeles and handwoven from 100% cotton by artisans in Chiapas, Mexico.

Handwoven cotton is genuinely absorbent, which sounds obvious until you have used a decorative napkin that just moves water around. The looser hand weave holds more than a tight machine-made cloth of the same weight, so these work as everyday napkins and not only as something folded on a plate for company. They get softer and more absorbent with each wash.

Blue napkins are the easy win at a summer table, and turquoise specifically survives bright outdoor light instead of washing out the way pastels do.

Perfect for: summer dinner parties, outdoor and poolside dining, coastal tablescapes, beach house entertaining, spring lunches, and everyday use.

They match the Gingham Zuma Turquoise Tablecloth.
